Brabantia, the homeware brand known for combining style, sustainability and smart design, is hosting an exclusive Home of Hacks event to showcase the Spring/Summer 2025 and help consumers find clever ways to make their home work better for them.
Brabantia surveyed over 2,000 Brits and unveiled that the majority believe they’re almost £50,000 and 7 months’ worth of work away from transforming their space into their dream home. While the most desired upgrades were kitchen refurbs(40%), bathroom transformations (34%), and better outdoor spaces (31%), the research also found that the idea of the dream home has evolved drastically, with aspects such as ‘functionality’ and ‘storage’ now more important than swanky, big-ticket features.
Attendees will have the chance to get inspired, enjoy a welcome drink and canapés, and take part in a relaxed, hands-on experience designed to help them hack their way to a more joyful home.
Guests will hear from interiors expert Reena Simon, known for her modern, Scandi-inspired approach to living beautifully. Plus, they'll take part in a fun hack challenge based on a very popular home bugbear – all while getting the chance to chat with Reena.
Whether it's storage struggles, laundry overload or just needing a bit more calm in the chaos – the vent will explore real solutions for real homes. Here’s what’s in store…
- Add their biggest home frustration to a Hack Wall
- Enjoy a welcome drink and delicious canapes
- Take on a team challenge to create their own clever solution to pantry spaces
- Chat 1-to-1 with Reena and the Brabantia team
- Share their favourite new tips on the Hack Wall before leaving
- Take part in a Purge Party*
- Have a first look at Brabantia's newest products for Spring/Summer 2025
- Receive a goody bag, filled with Brabantia gifts.
The Brabantia Purge Party is a practical and simple concept to help you declutter. Instead of holding on to the clutter in your home, bring your unwanted soft-furnishing items to swap with others. If they like what they see, they can take them home themselves… free of charge. Anything that doesn't go will be donated to charity.
This event is part of Brabantia’s new campaign ‘Home for Hacks’ that shines a light on what people really want from their homes – not pools or chandeliers, but clever little touches that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.
With just 20 tickets available, it’s a relaxed, inspiring afternoon you won’t want to miss.
Brabantia also works with UK-based designer, stylist and author, Reena Simon, who shared her top tips on how homeowners can utilise and maximise their existing space via ‘home hacking’ – a new, trending approach to interiors which is currently taking social media by storm. Her advice is:
- HACK YOUR WAY TO YOU BEST KITCHEN AND BATHROOM - Kitchens and bathrooms are the most used spaces in the home, and you don’t need a full renovation to refresh them. Small, intentional updates, like changing cabinet handles, switching up brassware, or introducing layered lighting, especially with modern pieces like rechargeable lamps, which more readily available, can make a big impact. I also love incorporating natural textures like wood, linen, or stone accessories to bring warmth and balance into these spaces. And if you can squeeze in a cosy rug or sheepskin into your bathroom, even better.
- MAKE THE MOST OF STORAGE SOLUTIONS - I think the way we manage storage in our homes is one of our biggest shared bugbears, but it’s also one of the most transformative design opportunities. It’s not about having more space; it’s about making better use of the space you have. Think vertically: wall hooks, shelving, storage benches, and slimline cabinetry can help reclaim areas that are often overlooked. When storage is considered as part of the design, it improves both the look and function of a home.
- UTILISE TEXTURES TO TRANSFORM YOUR SPACE - Texture is one of the most powerful, yet underrated tools in interiors. A room instantly feels more inviting when you layer contrasting materials: soft linens next to polished wood, warm ceramics against cool metals. It creates depth and a sensorial experience that goes beyond just how a space looks, it’s about how it makes you feel. Even in the most practical spaces, texture brings a sense of softness and calm.
