AliExpress to launch HUGE summer sale with essentials for the season available to WIN at roaming pop-up

As the summer season kicks off in the nation’s capital, AliExpress, the online retail marketplace, has announced the launch of its 'Win Big’ roaming pop-up to celebrate summer and culture.

The official AliExpress van will be making an appearance at three locations across Central London on Friday 20th June, where shoppers will have the opportunity to win incredible prizes, pick up unbeatable bargains and take advantage of the summer sale on the AliExpress app.

With over a quarter (26%) of 18-34y/o Brits planning holidays around festivals and music[1], they'll be able to get their hands on unmissable prizes that are absolute must-haves for the season ahead, from top prizes of a drone and BBQ, to camping essentials like tents, sleeping bags and portable hand fans.

Throughout the day, the van will be on the move so followers will have to keep a close eye on the brand’s social media channels to find out where it will appear next in order to grab a freebie and win prizes.

The UK’s favourite bargain hunter Jordan Cox aka The Coupon King will be touring London with AliExpress to help shoppers make the most of the opportunity to win big, cheering them on and making suggestions of how to make the most of the Summer Sale offers.

With pressures on household budgets, AliExpress will be running its biggest Summer Sale ever with shoppers enjoying up to 80% off on summer and festive essentials between 16th-25th June.

Jordan Cox, Britain's Coupon King, said: “I absolutely LOVE a deal, but with summer coming up and budgets tighter than ever, it's easy to get overwhelmed with all your summer purchases. But you don’t have to pay full price (I certainly never do!) And that's why I'm teaming up with AliExpress for their 'Win Big' activation and massive Summer Sale! Wherever there’s a bargain to be had this summer… I’m there!

“And AliExpress have incredible deals on everything you need for those festival adventures, family holidays, or just chilling in the garden. It’s my job to look for bargains, so I'll be there, helping everyone sniff out the best deals and showing them how to stretch their money further, so they can truly make the most of this summer without breaking the bank. Get ready to bag some serious wins!"

Bonnie Zhao, AliExpress UK’s General Manager said: “We know a big part of the summer season in the UK is all about festivals and getting your hands on the must-haves to pack for events. It is therefore fitting that AliExpress brings its own pop-up festival to not just one but several locations across one of the most diverse cities in the world -, so whether they’re heading abroad or to a festival here in the UK, Londoners can get everything they need in one place, for less.”

Key highlights of the AliExpress Summer Sale include:

  • Flash sale:  Thousands of items dropped to only £1 or under for a limited time, with new products joining the sale every 12 hours

Zhao continued: “Our followers can stay tuned into our Instagram page and to share this summer of festivals and culture with family and friends by heading down. You never know; an AliExpress van could be coming to a street near you.”
