Electimuss Launches ‘Astrum Nova’

Electimuss, the London-based artisan perfume brand known for creating daring and decadent fragrances introduces a new addition to the Lustrous Collection, inspired by “the ancient connection between the stars above and the earth below.”

Astrum Nova by Electimuss is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men, celestial burst of citrus and luscious fruits, anchored by precious woods and sensual vanilla. Notes for the fragrance include Mango, Ambrette Seed, Bergamot, Lemon, and Mandarin in the head; a heart of Blackcurrant, Orris, and Osmanthus; and a base of Oud, Musk, Ambertonic, Oakmoss, Tonka, Vanilla, and Ambroxan.

Luke Granger, co-founder of Electimuss, said: “Astrum Nova is about celebrating nature and its eternal connection with the cosmos. It draws on the idea of astro-gardening, a forgotten agricultural practice where stars guided the planting cycles of ancient civilisations — a tribute to both heritage and harmony.”

Created by perfumer David Chieze, Astrum Nova was built around the molecule ambertonic. “This composition is an exploration of a different facet of oud. It has been expressed before through its woody, spicy and animalic aspects. But to me there is also a fruity facet in it, that, if dressed properly, makes it shine in another way. That is why this juicy, ripe mango in the top note can be experienced, as it blends with this aspect of the oud. The fruity and animalic facets of osmanthus are linking the mango and the oud together. A careful blend of different soft woody notes, vanilla and orris, make sure the bottom notes stay smooth and accompany the oud with elegance and richness, taming the more animalic aspects of it. I believe we’ll see a growing shift towards natural extractions — fruits, nuts, and botanicals rendered more authentically than ever before.”
