L’Oréal Paris Celebrates International Women’s Day with Empowering Pop-Up at Old Spitalfields Market

In celebration of International Women’s Day, L’Oréal Paris is bringing an empowering pop-up experience to Old Spitalfields Market in East London, inviting visitors to celebrate confidence, beauty and self-worth.
The immersive activation invites visitors to experience the message behind one of the most iconic slogans in beauty history: “Because You’re Worth It”, in a way that goes far beyond a simple campaign slogan.
Beyond a One-Day Celebration
At its core, the pop-up serves as a simple but powerful reminder: women’s worth should never be limited to a single celebration.
While the week between International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day is often filled with conversations around empowerment, for L’Oréal Paris the message is far from seasonal. Since 1971, the brand’s famous tagline has represented a long-standing commitment to championing women’s self-worth, individuality, diversity and confidence every day of the year.
More than five decades later, the brand continues to turn those words into action. From promoting inclusive beauty standards to supporting women’s safety through its global Stand Up to Street Harassment programme, L’Oréal Paris believes empowerment should be ongoing, not just a moment in the calendar.
Celebrating Beauty at Every Age
This year, the pop-up shines a spotlight on women aged 55 and over, a group often overlooked in beauty advertising. Despite representing generations of experience, confidence and individuality, older women appear in just 15% of beauty campaigns worldwide.
Through this initiative, L’Oréal Paris aims to challenge that imbalance and celebrate beauty across every stage of life, highlighting the wisdom, strength and elegance of women who continue to redefine what beauty looks like.

The Signature Touch – Take home a personalised lipstick engraved with your name or message.
A Taste of Paris – Enjoy freshly made crêpes inspired by the brand’s Parisian heritage.
Retro Photobooth – Capture the moment with a vintage-style photo keepsake.
Postcards of Appreciation – Write and send a postcard to a woman who inspires you, with postage handled by the brand.
