LEON Is Opening a Nostalgic “LEON Chippy” Pop-Up in London for One Weekend Only

London’s fast-food favourite LEON is diving into nostalgia this March with a playful new pop-up concept and it’s bringing back one of its most requested menu items in the process.

For one weekend only, the brand will transform its Regent Street restaurant into a retro-inspired British chippy, celebrating the long-awaited return of its cult favourite Fish Finger Wrap.

A Classic British Chippy With a LEON Twist

The immersive takeover will reimagine the traditional British fish and chip shop through LEON’s signature “Naturally Fast Food” approach. Expect seaside nostalgia, playful design details and a menu centred around comforting classics, all reworked with LEON’s familiar focus on flavour and quality.

At the heart of the pop-up is the Fish Finger Wrap, a dish that has developed a loyal fan base since its original launch and is now returning to menus as part of the brand’s new Icon Dishes series. The initiative will see LEON revive some of its most loved menu items, refining them with better sourcing, improved recipes and a chef-driven touch.

What’s on the Menu

Visitors to the LEON Chippy can expect a nostalgic comfort-food lineup built around the returning star dish.

The Fish Finger Wrap features sustainably sourced pollock fish fingers paired with peppery rocket and LEON’s signature tartare sauce made with gherkins, capers and fresh herbs. The fish is baked rather than fried, making it a lighter take on the traditional chippy classic while still delivering the familiar flavour combination.

The pop-up menu will also include:

  • Waffle fries
  • Crushed peas
  • A choice of beer or a classic cup of tea

And for those arriving early, there’s an extra incentive: the first 100 Fish Finger Wraps will be completely free each day. Guests will also receive a LEON pin badge and scratchcard, with prizes ranging from free dishes to a year’s worth of LEON meals.

A New Era for LEON

The return of the Fish Finger Wrap comes at a key moment for the brand, following the return of LEON founder John Vincent, who is helping guide the company back towards the dishes that first made it famous.

“This is the one dish I had in mind when we created LEON in 2004 and the first dish I wanted to bring back, and our guests wanted us to bring back,” Vincent said. “I will be first in line.”

The LEON Chippy pop-up also marks the revival of more beloved menu items, with a new Spring menu launch set to introduce returning classics alongside fresh new additions.
