Clinique Launches Daily Calm, a New Collection for Sensitive Skin

Clinique is expanding its skincare expertise with the launch of Clinique Daily Calm, a scientifically advanced skincare and makeup collection created specifically for sensitive, reactive and irritated skin. The launch marks an important step for Clinique. Although the Estée Lauder Companies-owned brand has always placed a strong focus on allergy testing, Daily Calm represents its first dedicated franchise specifically created for sensitive skin.

Designed for what Clinique describes as “overreacting skin”, Daily Calm is created for complexions that flare up occasionally as well as skin that looks and feels reactive on a daily basis. The new franchise aims to make effective skincare and makeup more accessible to people with highly sensitised skin, combining clinically proven formulas with soothing ingredients and innovative packaging.

The Daily Calm collection launches with four products: Daily Calm Gentle Cream Cleanser, Daily Calm Soothing Repair Cream, Daily Calm Makeup Balm and Daily Calm Lip + Cheek Color. Together, the products create a skincare-to-makeup system designed to instantly soothe, visibly improve the appearance of irritated skin and help prevent future irritation.

The Daily Calm Gentle Cream Cleanser provides a soothing first step, while the Daily Calm Soothing Repair Cream focuses on calming and supporting the skin barrier. The collection then extends into makeup with the Daily Calm Makeup Balm, which launches in eight sheer shades, and the Daily Calm Lip + Cheek Color, available in six shades. The Makeup Balm is particularly notable for its packaging innovation, giving sensitive-skin makeup a more considered and elevated experience. Rather than treating makeup as something that sensitive skin has to avoid, Clinique is positioning Daily Calm as a way to bring complexion and colour products into a sensitive-skin routine.

At the heart of the collection is Uniflavon™, a soothing botanical blend that helps interrupt the skin’s irritation cascade at two key stages. The formulas combine this complex with magnolia bark to help calm irritation while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier.

According to Clinique, ongoing irritation and inflammation can contribute to long-term damage to the moisture barrier. Daily Calm is therefore developed around the idea of interrupting this cycle, helping to calm irritation while supporting stronger, healthier-looking skin.

The collection is also appropriate for use as soon as one day after an IPL procedure, adding another dimension to its appeal for those whose skin becomes particularly sensitive following treatments.

The launch is supported by a global survey commissioned by Clinique between December 2025 and January 2026. The research involves 7,027 adults across seven countries, including the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Japan and Australia. Around seven in ten people surveyed believe chronic irritation can accelerate the appearance of skin ageing, while 60% say they avoid anti-ageing active ingredients because they are worried about triggering a reaction.

For people with sensitive skin, this can create a frustrating cycle. The products and ingredients often associated with targeting visible signs of ageing may be avoided because of concerns about irritation, while persistent inflammation can itself contribute to what is increasingly described as “inflammaging”.

With Daily Calm, Clinique is taking a different approach by focusing on calming irritation and supporting the skin barrier while still offering a complete routine that extends from cleansing and moisturising to complexion and colour.
