Holland & Barrett Launches First-of-Its-Kind Wellness Pub
Holland & Barrett launches The Wellness Tap, a pop-up in Clerkenwell designed as a wellness-focused pub serving hydration drinks instead of traditional alcoholic beverages.
Part of the brand’s new Back Your Body campaign, the three-day activation gives visitors the chance to sample Holland & Barrett’s hydration range, which launched earlier this year, alongside products from its summer beauty collection.
The free pop-up features hydration “pints”, healthy snacks, nutritionist-led pub talks, live DJ sets, games and quizzes, with expert advice available throughout the activation.

The concept comes as younger consumers increasingly look for alternatives to alcohol. Data from the NHS Health Survey for England found that 25% of 16 to 24-year-olds had not consumed alcohol in the previous 12 months, the highest proportion of any age group.
Holland & Barrett says its own research also highlights the pressure many people experience during the summer months. More than a third of Brits surveyed said they experience seasonal FOMO, while almost 30% said managing their summer social calendar feels like a second job. Overall, 70% said a busy summer takes a toll on their wellbeing, with fatigue, feeling physically rundown and dehydration among the effects reported.
Lina Chan, Holland & Barrett’s Director of Missions, said the campaign aims to challenge the idea that socialising and looking after your wellbeing have to be separate.
The brand’s State of the Nation Health report also found that many young adults struggle to identify reliable sources of health information online, despite wellness being a major priority.

The activation includes a dedicated media and influencer day featuring an expert-led panel with physician Dr Alex George and Holland & Barrett’s global product formulation lead Alex Glover.
Alongside the drinks and activities, The Wellness Tap showcases Holland & Barrett’s latest wellness and beauty products, with new launches also available in stores.
The Back Your Body campaign is designed to make wellness more accessible, combining practical health information with a social setting rather than presenting wellbeing as a restrictive routine.
