Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers

All-day British dining on the South Bank, with a menu centred around British produce, including seafood, shellfish and Gordon Ramsay classics. Set directly on the River Thames, the restaurant will feature a dining room and expansive outdoor terrace with panoramic river views, while interiors by Jacu Strauss will draw inspiration from the building’s transatlantic heritage and the colours of the river.

The Queen Adelaide in Shepherd’s Bush will reopen as The Talli Queen, a new Indian-inspired pub from chef Avi Shashidhara, known for his work at Hibiscus, The River Cafe and Pahli Hill Bandra Bhai, as well as winning the starter category on Great British Menu in 2023. The menu will take inspiration from traditional Indian drinking establishments, with dishes centred around the charcoal grill and tandoor, including Indian-style porchetta and tandoori chicken for Sunday lunch, while the pub undergoes a light refurbishment.

The Shepherd Mayfair, a new boutique hotel taking over the former Park Lane Mews Hotel, will bring several new food and drink options to the area. Its main all-day restaurant, Fayre, will serve European classics made with seasonal British produce, including lobster and prawn brioche, beef short rib croquettes, Gloucester Old Spot pork chop and dry-aged steaks. There will also be The Lounge, a café-style space with a terrace, and Teddy’s, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar, while the hotel will feature 82 rooms.

Chef Sertaç Dirik, formerly of Mangal II, will open KID in Soho for his first solo venture, partnering with restaurateur David Carter of Oma, Agora and Smokestak. The restaurant will explore Turkish cuisine rooted in Dirik’s upbringing, combining seasonal British produce with influences from his time working in Copenhagen. The menu will include Tombik and sourdough pide, house-made çökelek, an aged beef içli köfte and overnight wood-oven cooked kid. The former café site next to Humble Chicken will feature table and counter seating, plus a wine room that can double as a private dining space.

Platter is opening on Level 5, replacing the former The Place to Eat. This new 300-seat all-day dining destination features an in-house coffee roastery, open kitchen serving hand-stretched pizzas, a deli and bakery, a Dessert Parlour, plus a Champagne and cocktail bar. Originally built as a Woolworths in the 1920s, the Kensington High Street space will now be home to La Cage, the Montreal sports bar making its London debut and first international opening. Spread across two floors, it will show a wide range of sports, from football and rugby to F1 and darts, alongside a Canadian-inspired menu featuring poutine, tartares, lobster rolls, Montreal-style pizza and Beavertails, plus Molson and Moosehead beers and maple-infused cocktails including the Montréal Caesar.

French burger brand Dumbo will open a larger and more central London location following the success of its Shoreditch debut. Taking over the former Tommi’s Burger Joint site, the new restaurant will keep Dumbo’s simple menu of smash burgers, the vegetarian Earth Burger and tempura nuggets.

Tom Kerridge’s Corinthia London restaurant will undergo a major relaunch, with the former Kerridge’s Bar & Grill split into two distinct spaces. The expanded bar will become Georgie’s Bar, named after Kerridge’s former boxer dog, serving snacks, sharing dishes and a new frozen Martini Club featuring Dry, Wet, Dirty and “Steak” Martinis. Meanwhile, the smaller Kerridge’s restaurant will continue its modern British focus under head chef Tom Childs, with dishes including crab crumpet, Orkney scallop pie and Cornish lobster Thermidor, alongside favourites such as Gary Rhodes’ bread and butter pudding, the Chef’s Larder and its popular Sunday Lunch.

The latest venture from Panadera and Donia’s Florence Mae Maglanoc and chef Adrian Kyle Felipe, will bring French toast with Filipino flavours to Westfield White City. The menu will feature signature toasts topped with ube jam, matcha ganache and Milo cookies & cream, alongside a classic butter and maple syrup version and seasonal specials. Drinks will focus on ube, including Ube Milk, Ube Foam Matcha, Ube Latte and Ube Horchata, while ice cream flavours will include miso caramel and pandan coconut. The small café will seat around 15 people.
Eat Giuseppe’s Tiramisu Pop-Up Shop

Giuseppe’s Tiramisu will bring its entirely plant-based take on the classic Italian dessert to Boxpark Shoreditch, following successful pop-ups at events including Vegan Campout and the Silverstone Grand Prix. Founded by Giuseppe Federici, whose Italian family has deep roots in food and hospitality, the brand will serve signature tiramisu flavours including pistachio, matcha, Nutella and Biscoff, alongside rotating specials and a tiramisu cold brew topped with signature tiramisu cold foam.
Kāio x Ollie Dabbous Residency

A Six-course tasting menu created by Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous in collaboration with Kāio head chef Sachin Mistry. Five Feet Pizza will bring a new independent pizzeria to Bermondsey from Jay Patel of Luna and Legare, Roland Home of WatchHouse and chef Jack Ellingham, formerly of Dusty Knuckle and Spring. The pizzeria will specialise in 1cm-thick, aerated dough baked in black iron pans for a crisp edge, with toppings focused on local and British ingredients. Pizzas will include Hot Sausage Pie, Pepperoni Pie and White Potato Pie, alongside crust dips, chicken wings and polenta fritta with vodka sauce and scamorza. The restaurant will open in a former bakery site, with interiors designed by the same team behind WatchHouse.
Island at The George and Dragon

Island, the surf-and-turf restaurant from chefs Brad Carter and Tom Brown, will move from King’s Cross to Clerkenwell, taking over the upstairs dining room of the new George & Dragon pub, formerly The Peasant. The restaurant will continue its focus on seafood, meat and dishes such as BBQ pork with brown crab slaw and its mixed grill, while the ground-floor pub will offer a more traditional menu. The move follows the closure of Island’s current King’s Cross site on 16 August.

The Prince Arthur will relocate from Belgravia to Chelsea, bringing its Basque-inspired cooking to a new site near Daphne’s. The restaurant will once again focus on live-fire cooking, with a central charcoal grill in the open kitchen, while the downstairs space will be dedicated to dining and upstairs will become the Chelsea Music Bar, a late-night listening bar inspired by Tokyo. Head chef Adam Iglesias will continue to lead the kitchen, with the menu expected to build on the Basque dishes and caviar offering that made the original Prince Arthur popular.

The Horses in Clerkenwell will reopen under the Public House group, which is restoring the pub’s former name after it was rebranded as The Coach. The historic pub, formerly known as The Coach & Horses for 228 years, will receive the group’s signature stylish makeover, following the success of its other London pubs including The Pelican, The Hart and The Fat Badger. While details of the new food and drink offering are still under wraps, the reopening will add another destination to the group’s growing pub portfolio.

Omar Shah and his Maginhawa Group will open an all-day bakery and evening pizzeria inspired by Filipino flavours and the food he grew up eating. During the day, the bakery will serve laminated pastries, savoury bakes and coffee, before transforming in the evening for freshly made pizzas alongside a concise menu of crudo, kinilaw, salads and pasta. The restaurant will take over a former hair and beauty academy on Hawley Road, which will be given a stripped-back makeover.

Parisian seafood sandwich brand Homer Lobster will open its first permanent London restaurant following a successful pop-up on the South Bank. Founded by Moïse Sfez, the restaurant will serve its signature lobster and crayfish roll alongside other seafood sandwiches including crab roll, tuna melt, salmon pastrami and lobster grilled cheese. The brand has already won international recognition, with Sfez taking the “Celebrity Favorite” award at the 2018 World Lobster Roll Championship in Portland, Maine.

The Twenty Two in Mayfair will relaunch as Cafe Twenty Two, swapping its luxe restaurant concept for a French-inspired offering. The restaurant will receive an interior makeover blending classic Mayfair elegance with Parisian chic, while Guillaume Glipa, formerly of Chiltern Firehouse, Louie London and Annabel’s, will lead the menu of simple, classic French cooking. A new cocktail trolley will also make its way around the restaurant.

Jikoni founders Ravinder Bhogal and Nadeem Lalani Nanjuwany will open Karam’s at The Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury, focusing on South Asian vegetarian cooking inspired by their Indian heritage and the tradition of nourishing home-style food. Named after Ravinder’s grandfather, Sardar Karam Singh Bhogal, the more casual restaurant will offer all-day communal dining inspired by Gurdwara langar halls, alongside craft breads, vegetable dishes made with heritage grains and organic farm-sourced ingredients, and nourishing thalis.

The Hero’s Return will bring a new pub to Battersea Power Station from the group behind Bancone, with chef Jonathan Woolway of The Shed in Swansea leading the kitchen. Lewisham’s Model Market will return after a five-year closure as part of the redevelopment of Lewisham Shopping Centre, with German Kraft Brewery taking over the site. The revamped all-day market will feature several food and drink spaces, including a German Kraft taproom, alongside a rooftop wellness space, live DJ sets, pop-ups, events and cultural programming. The new design will be a modern overhaul of the original site while retaining references to its 1950s heritage, with the food traders still to be announced.
