September is officially here, and the August Bank Holiday may be coming to an end, but London’s calendar is still packed with pop-ups, free experiences, giveaways and things to do this week. From new openings and beauty activations to food freebies and events continuing from previous weeks, we’ve rounded up the best things happening across the capital from 31 August to 6 September 2026.

NEW EVENTS

Pinterest Corner Shop Takeover

When: 31 August (also on 1 August & 22 August at different locations)
Where: Nisa Local, Notting Hill
What: Festival-ready beauty and entertainment pop-ups with DJs, guest performances, face gems and more.

Pinterest will bring its Corner Shop takeover to three London and Brighton locations this summer, designed as a pre-party stop before some of the season’s biggest festivals. Visitors can expect DJ sets, guest performances, face gems, e.l.f. finishing touches, personalised disposable cameras and festival Polaroids. The first stop will be Brighton Pride on 1 August, followed by All Time Food and Wine in East London on 22 August ahead of A.P. East, and Nisa Local in Notting Hill on 31 August for Notting Hill Carnival.

ARAW 100 Free Ice Lollies

When: 31 August, from 11am
Where: Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross, London
What: FREE limited-edition ice lollies for the first 100 visitors.

ARAW London will celebrate its final week at King’s Cross with a giveaway of 100 limited-edition ice lollies inspired by the places and experiences that make the area unique. The lollies will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, so get there early.

FIANA Opening

When: 31 August, from 8am
Where: 4 Eastern Road, Walthamstow
What: FIANA will open its doors for coffee, brunch, matcha and pastries. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests will receive a free iced tea, while stocks last.

MOTIONS x ONMYMIND Carnival Afterparty

What: FREE ticket registration for a Carnival afterparty featuring DJs from London, Berlin, New York, Brussels and Paris.

MOTIONS x ONMYMIND will return for their annual Carnival Afterparty, bringing an international line-up of selectors and a mix of Francophone sounds, Funky House, R&B, Dancehall, Afrobeats and Hip Hop.

Free Family Day at The Falcon

What: FREE face painting, arts & crafts and treasure hunting for children.

The Falcon in Clapham is hosting a family-friendly afternoon this Bank Holiday, with Art Stuff by Lyla bringing plenty of creative activities for little ones. Families can enjoy face painting, arts and crafts and treasure hunting while grown-ups relax with a drink. No booking is required, just turn up.

Quince Bakery 3rd Annual Pie Party

When: 31 August, from 12pm until sold out
Where: Quince Bakery, 267 New North Road, London N1 7AA
What: PIES, PIES & MORE PIES from Quince Bakery and a line-up of independent London bakers.

Quince Bakery will turn Bank Holiday Monday into a full-blown Pie Party, bringing together guest bakers including Bake Street, Decatur, Lucky Yu Bakery and Hamblin Bread. Expect a mix of sweet and savoury pies, mini pies and generous sharing slabs, alongside coffee, iced tea, ice cream and snacks for the queue. Last year saw almost 500 pies sold, so this year’s event is expected to be even bigger.

KERB Free Lunch at Cowcross Yards

When: September, Tuesday–Thursday, 11:30am–2:30pm
Where: Cowcross Yards, Farringdon
What: FREE lunch for new sign-ups, with KERB feeding London at its Cowcross Yards street food market. A complimentary lunch from one of the market’s rotating street food traders.

L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Free Pizza Giveaway

Back to Hogwarts: The HBO Max Platform 9¾ Fan Experience

What: Free Harry Potter fan experience with interactive activities, gaming, giveaways, photo opportunities and a glimpse of the upcoming HBO series.

HBO Max will celebrate Back to Hogwarts with a one-day Platform 9¾ experience inspired by the upcoming Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone series. Visitors can expect interactive gaming, photo opportunities, exclusive giveaways and activities from Harry Potter partners, including LEGO, Bloomsbury and Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. There will also be a chance to see a first glimpse of the new HBO series ahead of its Christmas debut.

Free entry, but tickets are required. Tickets are being released in daily batches at 11am from 24–28 August, while availability lasts. There will be no official Back to Hogwarts event or countdown at King’s Cross this year

JAY-Z 30 Trafalgar Square Pop-Up

What: Step into the world of JAY-Z with an immersive pop-up celebrating his 30-year career and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The experience will feature a wall of retro televisions screening classic music videos, performances and programming from the era, alongside exclusive limited-edition JAY-Z 30 merchandise and collectibles.
