Japan House London is opening a new exhibition inspired by the uniquely Japanese phenomenon of shokuhin sanpuru – the unexpectedly realistic food replicas displayed in front of restaurants across Japan. This vibrant exhibition explores the history, materials, processes and future potential of the craft, featuring 47 specially commissioned food replicas, that represent each of Japan’s prefectures, specially commissioned from the world-leading manufacturer Iwasaki Group.
