LOHN Embraces Transportive Powers of Scent with Candle Collection

Designed to evoke a moment that transforms one’s home and self-care moments, sustainable candle studio LOHN (pronounced 'lawn') introduces a luxurious collection of scents, rooted in the ancient journeys through merchant roots around the globe.

The expertly crafted candles are exquisite inside and out, created with expertise gained from an education in chemical engineering and a career in the beauty industry. The candles are vegan, cruelty-free, paraben free, and made with cotton wicks, and are handpoured into a food-grade glass.

There is a real personal touch to the brand. The name itself stems from the Estonian word meaning ‘scent’, and the name of the merchant route known as the ‘amber road’ that crossed the Estonia, Lithuania, and Polish – the origins of Canadian founders Katerina Juskey and Victoria Mierzwa.

The beautiful packaging (that is also recyclable) depicts the shape of the merchant route from which the scent is inspired.

Their mission was rooted around their obsession with scent and their desire to tell a deeper story, and the small handmade batches ensure that each piece conveys the journey vividly. What we love about the collection is the distinctiveness of each scent, and the lack of overlap in notes means each candle fills the space with a unique journey to immerse in.

There is even a champagne-scented birthday candle, a perfect gift for the special occasion.

Each 7.5oz candle (£30) has a 50 hour burn while the smaller 3oz candle (£16) provides 20 hours of goodness. There are also trio sets available containing some of the favourite scents (including the wonderful ERDE, a brilliant bergamot and fig scent with amber and vetiver base notes), priced at £45. We recommend giving ESSEN a try for a harvest time journey through the fresh herb garden of basil and mint, and the ever-popular LATO for a sweet summer by the seaside.
