The Yule Log – The Foundation of Taste

(£53:00, or £6.50 for a single portion)

A staple for all households in the festive season, this succulent dessert cannot be missed. This year, The Yule Log pays a strong homage to the holly leaves. “I wanted it to be audacious in form, whilst remaining very elegant and modern”. Pierre Marcolini describes each of his creations with sincere passion and unparalleled craftsmanship. “Tenderness and generosity are the key themes of this collection of festive patisserie. They symbolise the architecture of taste as I conceive it and love it.” For the 2022 collection, La Maison Pierre Marcolini offers The Yule Log in four recipes – Coffee, Chesnut, Grands Cu Chocolate and Pineapple & Coconut.

The Fir Tree – The King of the Forest

(£149.00)

Serving up the ‘wow’ factor, the Fir Tree is presented in its majestic form, composed of homemade dark and milk chocolate with a praliné heart, and decorated with holly leaves and ‘wooden’ praline bells. Tucked away under the tree, just like a present, you can find a Malline of 24 starred gianduja and 36 delicious truffles.

The Unprecedented Four-handed Panettone

(£29.00)

The chef’s surprise. This four-handed panettone brings together everything that characterises the wondrous spirit of Pierre Marcolini. “Iginio Massari has been a friend of mine for over thirty years. He followed me from the beginning, with great kindness and support. His knowledge and generosity still inspire me today. I was overjoyed like a child when he spontaneously accepted my idea of this four-hand creation, especially since it was inconceivable for me to make a panettone without the help and hands of this Master”. An excellent end-of-year patisserie, to be eaten in the morning or as a snack.
