The awards trophies were designed by paper artist Helen Musselwhite and looked like beautiful paper domes with a lion inside. They represented her artistic interpretation of the Walpole Book of British Luxury 2022 cover, which was designed by Cole & Son, Walpole’s visual partner.

"This year we received a record number of nominations from British brands at the forefront of innovation, craftmanship, hospitality, design and sustainability, who positively contribute to the evolving economic and cultural impact of British luxury globally," said Helen Brocklebank, Walpole Chief Executive. "Not only do this year’s winners stand out for their exceptional products and services, but they are notable for their investment in the UK, local economies, employment, arts, and culture which is exactly what this country needs from business right now.

The black tie event began with a Laurent-Perrier champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner. The menu included Hafod cheddar soufflé, Norfolk Black Angus Beef Wellington, and a dessert of roasted apricot tart, accompanied by Berry Bros & Rudd wine and JING sparking tea.

The after-party was hosted by Royal Salute which created signature cocktails for the event: a Mayfair & Salute cocktail and a Beefeater Crown Jewel Gibson highball.

The gifts for guests included an Ettinger leather passport holder and treats by JING, Miller Harris and Ruuby.

The music was provided by Maia (couresty of the DJAAYZ, the 1st DJ booking app) and BEAT (courtesy of ALR Music).
