Park Chinois Partners with Hennessy X.O to Celebrate Year of the Rabbit

Mayfair’s iconic Asian restaurant will infuse a taste of luxury into tradition in celebration of Chinese New Year. From 19th to 29th January, a decadent Specials menu will be on offer, along with three enticing bespoke ‘Les Trois Petits Lapins’ cocktails in partnership with Hennessy X.O.

Considered the luckiest of the Twelve Chinese Zodiac Animals, the approaching Year of the Rabbit symbolises mercy, elegance, and beauty. Guests are once again invited for a taste of tradition with a twist with dazzling dining and evening entertainment served alongside it. Diners can choose to immerse themselves in Salon de Chine, where entertainment includes a mix of enthralling Chinese drumming and a silk string quartet or descend the gilded red staircase to Club Chinois. The iconic Lion Dance will weave itself across both floors of the restaurant, providing diners with an unforgettable experience.

Executive Chef Che Liang Lee has created a sumptuous menu of seven specials which showcases the honest flavours, creative flourishes, and unique influences from his travels across the world. To start there’s Park Chinois’ take on the traditional prosperity-toss salad, Chinese New Year Lo Hei with Hiramasha Fish and Double-Boiled Fish Maw, Dried Scallop & Bamboo Soup. Mains include Grilled Wild Sea Bass with Guanciale & Plum Sauce, Cantonese Roasted Duck and Sauteed Australian Wagyu Beef with Chive & Shacha Sauce. This year sees the return of the showstopping Whole Roasted Suckling Pig Stuffed with Sticky Rice, Dried Shrimp, Chestnut, Mushroom, Shallot, Salted Egg, Guanciale & Red Date, which is available to pre-order 48 hours in advance, bringing a true sense of decadence to proceedings. Ending on a sweet note, Park Chinois have created a playful Bunny Custard Bao served with Yuzu wine. An 8 course Group Dining Menu designed to be shared between at least four will also be available for £168 per person and requires 48 hours advance notice.

To complement the unique dishes, Park Chinois’ team of mixologists have created three bespoke Hennessy X.O cocktails; ‘Les Trois Petits Lapins’ to capture the celebratory season, including Le Lapin Imperial (Hennessy X.O Cognac, Peach, Rhubarb, Delamottte Brut Champagne NV), Le Lapin Rouge (Hennessy X.O, Rye Whiskey, Amaro, Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino) and Le Lapin d’Or (Hennessy X.O, Eminente Reserva 7yr Rum, Grand Marnier, Orgeat Syrup & Citrus). Park Chinois’ Head Sommelier has also carefully curated a ‘Year of the Rabbit’ Wine List for the occasion, using a selection of the very best wines that have been produced in previous years of the Rabbit.

Park Chinois’ 7 Course Specials Menu will be available from 19th January to 29th January, with entertainment running until 22nd January, with the 8 Course Group Dining Menu also available at £168 per person (must be ordered 48h in advance, minimum four people).
