Shoreditch gets a dose of Danish-Japanese aesthetics when Sticks'n'Sushi opens its 11th UK restaurant this summer.
The popular restaurant group is becoming a London staple and is ready to open a new restaurant in East London. The opening in Shoreditch marks the first new restaurant this year and the eleventh restaurant in Britain since their first restaurant in Wimbledon in 2012.
The new restaurant and bar will open this summer on Shoreditch High Street, in the heart of the neighbourhood. Sticks'n'Sushi will be located next-door to One Hundred Shoreditch.
Andreas Karlsson, Group CEO at Sticks'n'Sushi says:
"The new Shoreditch Sticks'n'Sushi is a fantastic addition to the local area, being the ideal location for after-work dinners, drinks, celebratory meals, and business lunches centred on authentic Japanese fare. Karlsson hopes that both local Shoreditch residents and sightseers will visit for a Sticks'n'Sushi experience in completely new surroundings. Sticks'n'Sushi started in Copenhagen in 1994 and opened its first UK-based restaurant in London in 2012. The latest addition consolidates Sticks' place as a favourite on the London food scene.

The 200-seat restaurant is designed by Diener & Diener, who are longstanding architects of Sticks'n'Sushi. The restaurant will feature a striking centre piece bar and furnishings that capture Danish Hygge with Japanese aesthetics.
Karlsson highlighted the thoughtful approach and individuality that each and every new restaurant opening requires:
"A visit is much more than just good food. We always strive to create an experience for our guests that embraces our visual expression while also having a reference to the local environment. A restaurant should fit into the cityscape, but at the same time stand as something unique that reflects our DNA, and we have done just that"
The restaurant will serve its well-known selection of fresh sushi, grilled yakitori sticks, and a wide selection of appetisers and children's favourite menus.
