Le Gavroche x Wimbledon

A pop-up restaurant run by Keith Prowse (Wimbledon's Official Hospitality Partner) and overseen by Michel Roux and his team for the duration of the Championship, with seats starting at £2305pp.

Beach At JW3

Hampstead Beach is back with hours of fun and a variety of food pop-ups from a selection of handpicked caterers throughout the summer. Plus, the JW3 Café will be open as normal, selling a selection of savoury and sweet food, as well as hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.


XI home

Wenjun Xiang is opening the third and flagship XI home, focusing on dumplings, with their supersize xiao long bao (soup dumping) being the star of the show.


Harry's Dolce Vita Victoria

Brad Carter (of Carters of Moseley and One Star Döner in Birmingham) is coming to London in  partnership with Martin Priestnall (music publisher). Taking over the crypt of St George’s Church (Grade 1 listed building), it will focus on lost British classics, and will include a bar, an outside terrace, a wine room, a private dining room and an open kitchen will be a big part of the restaurant. 


Dez Amore

Opening Offer: Three days of free tastings 2-4 July

Known for their pasta or burgers from their stalls across London (at Mercato Metropolitanos, Camden Market or Crate Walthamstow), founders Leonardo and Simone, two Italian friends from Florence, are now opening their first standalone restaurant, with a retro design, serving a mix of pasta, pizza and Tuscan burgers.

Kirk Haworth (the Great British Menu 2024 winner) and his sister Keeley are opening a plant-based restaurant in Shoreditch.


Camden Courtyard

The team behind the Electric Ballroom bring us a food and music space: street food, themed brunches, day parties, live acts and DJS. The courtyard has a capacity of 300 guests and will have two main food vendors: Pizza & Dumplings (for Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas and gyoza) and Wray & Nephew (for drinks).


Soho House Festival 2024

If you have friends who are member of Soho House or feel like splurging for the hottest membership in the capital, then definitely sign up to this foodies paradise. There will be unlimited food from: Soho House barbecue BBQ, complete with a seafood spread that includes fresh lobster, prawns and scallops and a wide variety of food stalls: Cecconi’s, Pen Yen, Berenjak, Symplicity, Neat Burger, Crosstown Doughnuts, Churros Garcia, Breddos Tacos, Riddle & Finns, Big Mum’s Samosas, Cue Point, Ruben’s Reubens, and Farmacy.

The bars will also have unlimited drinks from: Patrón (serving Picantes and Palomas), St-Germain (St-Germain Spritzes), Moët & Chandon, Woodford Reserve, Double Dutch, Rock Angel and Peroni, as well as Water Junkie, Nespresso and Grind coffee.

For desserts they have Little Moons, Häagen-Dazs, Blondie's Kitchen and Peppersmith.

But is not all about food here as they have great entertainment, with full line-up is here, with Jessie Ware, Chaka Khan, DJ Spoony presents Garage Classical Orchestra, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Good Neighbours and Future Utopia on the main stage. And on the park stage, don’t miss 2ManyDJs (DJ set), The Blessed Madonna, Kenya Grace, Dan Whitlam, and Soft Launch.

There will also be beauty treatments: hair styling and treatments from Briogeo and The GelBottle Inc, Pavan Beauty Henna Bar, Cowshed for mini massages, tarot card reading, a floral headdress-making workshop with Porsche and, as always, a mini fun fair with rides

Wood St Bear

DJ Simon Bear is taking over the old Wood Street Deli to open a 'community-focused' bar offering mainly wines from Borough Wines, craft beer from local brewery Pillars, and bar food, such as cheese toasties and pork pies from Melton Mowbray.


Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co Pop-Up

Address: The Prince Arthur, 95 Forest Rd, Hackney, London E8 3BH

Opening Date: 4 July 2024

Celebrate US Independence Day down at The Prince Arthur gastropub's pop-up from Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co (Brooklyn-based sustainable seafood suppliers), who’ll be serving up shrimp cocktails, lobster rolls, fish tacos and tuna smash burgers, with fish sourced from Fin & Flounder. Also cooking in the Prince Arthur kitchen July 5-6.

With a big indoor space in Battersea Power Station, Arcade Food Hall is now going alfresco too by taking over the Coaling Jetty jetty by the riverside, featuring a retractable roof and three bars. They will be doing food deliveries from the main Arcade Food Hall right to your table, from their vendors: BAO, Solis, Manna and Sushi Kamon.


Albert Schlosss

Albert Schloss Bavarian beer hall is coming to London taking over the former Rainforest Cafe/ Jungle Cave space so expect lots of schnitzels, bratwursts and sharing fondues, from the group behind Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana. It is a massive two-storey Alpine-themed beer hall with five bars and live entertainment, pilsner, schnapps and shuffleboard.

One Hundred Shoreditch hotel will transform The Rooftop (tacos restaurant) into Kaso, with a new Eastern Mediterranean menu as well, by Head chef Ilknur Celik.


Dalston Yard

Opening Date: 5 July 2024

A new food, drinks and events space from Dominic Cools-Lartigue (The Tramshed Project and Street Feast), featuring a mix of events, art, music and more. Food wise there will be a permanent restaurant and various residencies, such as Andrew Clarke (of Acme Fire Cult) launching the Butcher of Dalston, Budgie Montoya (Sarap), Gizzi Erskine and Roseau, (a "late-night bakehouse"). For drinks there will be seven bars in this huge 27,000 sq ft site.


Dusty Knuckle - The Kiosk

Address: Highbury Fields, at the Tennis Court end

Opening Date: 5 July 2024

The man behind Street Feast, Max Tobias, is opening a third site for a few months, sort of, in a brand new converted Citroen Relay, serving a range of bread and pastry, hot and cold drinks, toasties and lots more.

A residency by chef Joseph Denison Carey (ex Pidgin, The Water House Project, Caravel and Bread + Butter supperclub) takes over Boundary.


Summer Fiesta at the Brunswick

Annual food festival (formerly 'Go Greek') with street food, live music and dance performances from around the world.

Curated by food writer Anna Sulan Masing, this is a one day food and literature festival with famous chefs such as Joké Bakare (of Chishuru), critic Jimi Famurewa and authors Melissa Hemsley and Melissa Thompson taking part in a series of discussions, cookery workshops, performance and partying. Beanfeast started in 1773 when King George III pulled his barge into Woolwich and had a big party with beans and bacon.


Highroad Social

Address: 178 Greenwich High Rd, Greenwich, London SE10 8NN

Opening Date: 7 July 2024

David O'Brien (former development director at Caprice Holdings) takes over Rivington Greenwich, with Irish Head Chef Fionnan Flood (ex The Chelsea Pig and in Murphia list). Focusing on premium local ingredients, there will be a separate raw bar menu, with fresh seafood and raw Hereford beef. Designed after a "modern Georgian Townhouse', it has Clark Crown (ex-Palomar) heading the bar.


Urban Greens London Wall

Their fifth store in London.


Engel and Jang

Address: Royal Exchange, London EC3V 3LL

Opening Date: 8 July 2024

Des Gunewarden (former D&D CEO) is opening his own restaurant at the Royal Exchange, on the North South and East mezzanines,  with two new "concepts": Engel and Jang.

Engel will be a "cocktail bar and performance space inspired by 1920s Berlin" serving an all-day Austrian and German café menu. Jang will offer a modern Korean-Japanese cuisine, with Dana Choi (ex Judy Joo's Jinjuu and Seoul Bird) leading the kitchen.


Wicked Fish

Wicked seafood, burgers & dogz. Opening second location after its success in Hackney Wick.

Dom's Subs team are opening their first bar, on the former Deep Cuts bar space, where they used to bake their bread, so expect hot dogs, beers and martinis. Run by Greg Boyce (founder of Dom's Subs) and Simon Bazeley (from The Blue Posts).

A new wine bar by Gabriel Chipperfield and his partners at Wendover property group, who also run Fort Road hotel (in Margate) and Shreeji News and Foreign Exchange News coffeeshops. Mina Holland (food and wine writer) will look after the wine list and chef Henry Farrow will run the kitchen.


Mare Street Market King’s Cross

Marylebone's Summer in The Square

Marylebone’s award-winning annual summer festival is returning this summer with the very best of Marylebone’s dining scene. There will be sporting events on the big screen, a Guest Kitchen with popular local restaurants on rotation, quality food and drink stalls, family fun and health and wellness activities. It ties in with the Wimbledon Tennis Championship which you can watch on their big screen from a deck chair (with a drink in hand!) in the tranquil setting of Portman Square Garden. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and entry is free. It will return with 'Games In The Garden' on 7-11 August for the Paris Olympics.


Mercato Metropolitano (MM) Ilford

Opening Date: 11 July 2024

MM food hall was launched in 2016 at the Milan World Expo and opened in London in 2017, opening first in a disused paper factory near Elephant & Castle, followed by a disused Victorian church in Mayfair and then in Canary Wharf’s new Wood Wharf development. Ilford is the first site in the outer suburbs and London’s first sustainable community food market.


Vegandale Festival

North-America's largest vegan festival is coming to London. Expect major musical artists, interactive art, free samples, food stands, over 75 vendors, all coming together to 'realise a world without animal exploitation'.


Rake Residency at The Gun

Address: The Gun, 235 Well St, Hackney, London E9 6FE

Opening Date: 13 July 2024

Jay Claus, Peter Ward and Syrus Pickhaver (ex Acme Fire Cult, Brat and Quo Vadis) will be cooking British classics and lost old school dishes, as well as focusing on whole beast butchery, as well as focusing on sustainable Cornish fish.


Holy Carrot

After a fantastic two years, they are relocating from their site in Knightsbridge to a stunning new location in the heart of Notting Hill.


The Hound

The Crown pub on Chiswick High Road is being resurrected by JKS (of Gymkhana), making this their third JKS pub, in partnership with publican Dominic Jacobs, after The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea and The George in Fitzrovia.


Sandwich Sandwich

Uber Eats restaurant of the year winner are coming to London from Bristol, run by Josh Kleiner with his dad and brother.

An all-day breakfast spot and bakery by restaurateurs Dima Zakhodiakin and Alina Kosichkina (who also have 32 restaurants in Kyiv). It is inspired by their bakery chain Khlebniy, has its own coffee roastery and takes over the old Pain Quotidien site.


Kanpai Classic

Address: 147-149 Wardour Street, Soho, London W1F 8WD

Opening Date: Mid-July 2024

Wagyu Cuisine/yakiniku chain by founder Soji Hiraide, very popular in Taiwan and China, which also won the "World Steak Challenge" this year. Yakiniku is the concept of grilling yourself on a portable charcoal cooker but chef Nicolo Bolognesi (ex Nobu Portman Square) will also serve special dishes. There will be 10 cuts of wagyu (aged a minimum of 40 days) on the menu to choose from. =Drinks wise, there will be a large sake list which includes 10 exclusive sakes from Japan’s Masuizumi Brewery.

Lahpet Larder

Burmese restaurant Lahpet is expanding South for itsthird Lahpet on the former The Hide bar space. There will be a central open kitchen and the menu will offer sharing plates and bowls, highlighting ingredients from Myanmar and focusing on regional Burmese cooking technique.


National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival 2024

Opening Date: 20-21 July 2024

The festival offers a taste of some of the world’s most exciting culinary destinations, so you can expect everything from masterclasses, live cooking demos from chefs such as Nadiya Hussain, Nisha Katona and Matt Tebbutt, guided tastings of wines, hear leading food writers, including Özlem Warren, Yui Miles and Alex Jackson, discuss their latest releases in Speakers’ Corner, and grab a bite from one of the street food vendors, who’ll serve everything from fusion bao buns to Brazilian picanha steak.


Emilia's Summer Pasta Festival 2024

London’s one and only Pasta Festival, hosted by Emilia’s Crafted Pasta, is back to Canary Wharf. The modern restaurant and outdoor areas, riverside terrace and surrounding parks and greenery will all be transformed into a summer street-food style festival filled with live music, various pasta-themed masterclasses, kid’s activities and much more. The entry is free, whilst the fresh pasta stations and outdoor bars will still be open for takeaway food and drinks which can be enjoyed in our dedicated festival ‘pasta picnic’ areas. Plus, there’ll be deckchairs, riverside benches, blankets and more open space dance spots.


Chatsworth Bakehouse

One of London’s best new-age bakeries is expanding with a second site three doors up from the original site at 120a, to 'help meet sarnie demand', by co-founders Sian Evans and Tom Mathews. It will be a walk-in bakery with a bigger menu, hosting breadmaking workshops and pizza nights, and serving treats such as sarnies, soda bread, baguettes, and savoury pies.

Hot Dogs by Three Darlings

Restaurateur Jason Atherton and wife Irha are relocating to the Dining Hall of Harrods and opening a 25-seat gourmet all-counter hot dog dining space, as well as opening a Chelsea restaurant of the same name in the same month. it will serve five gourmet hot dogs and a rotating hot dog special endorsed by a celebrity, as well as Koffmann potato fries and sundaes. For drinks there will be milkshakes, martinis and a list of champagne, wine and beer.


Goodbye Horses et al

Day Trip opens 13 July and The Dreamery in early August

A wine bar and restaurant from restaurateurs Alex Young and George de Vos and a new home for former Papi chef Jack Coggins and Wine Director Nathalie Nelles (ex Noble Fine Liquor Group - Bright & P Franco), taking over the old Michael's Den pub.

The space will also include a coffee shop called Day Trip, with a garden designed by the Chelsea Flower gold-medal-winning garden Ji-hae Hwang, while a gelato shop called The Dreamery will open next door in August.

The Fraquelli brothers will be opening a third Brasseria, adding to the sites in Marylebone and Notting Hill. The latest, in Brompton, will take over the former La Brasserie, which operated there for 30 years, and will ‘combine Italian flavour and style with New York service and a Parisian grand brasserie atmosphere.’

Santiago Lastra is opening Mexican restaurant with the MJMK group who were also behind Michelin-starred Kol and Casa do Frango (which is also on Heddon Street.

A new Italian restaurant inspired by the Amalfi Coast, right opposite Harrods, which will be filled with real citrus trees (the design of the restaurant is done by Yodezeen -architecture and design studio).


Humble Crumble

Address: KERB Seven Dials Market, London WC2H 9AU

Opening Date: July 2024

These little pots of steamed fruit covered with crumble have become extremely popular, with stalls in Camden and Borough and a Spitalfields shop, so central London was bound to be next.


Kolamba East

Address: 12 Blossom Street, Norton Folgate, London E1 E1 6PL

Opening Date: July 2024

Founders Eroshan and Aushi Meewella are successful in Soho so they will have a second opening in the Norton Folgate development, with a completely new menu (inspired by dishes from their childhood). It will have two private dining rooms and a separate bar space (using Sri Lankan spirits and ingredients).


Soul Mama

Address: Islington Square, 116 Upper St, London N1 1AB

YolanDa Brown OBE DL, Jazz musician, and her music manager and entrepreneur Adetokunbo ‘T’ Oyelola are opening a restaurant in Islington Square following a Kickstarter campaign.

Jason Atherton opens 'flagship restaurant' in Mayfair, making this his sixth venue in London.

By the Pachamama Group (owner of two Pachamamas, Chicama and Zephyr), it will be a large restaurant over two floors and a menu inspired by the Aegean coast.
