Udderbelly Comes to London Wonderground This Summer

The summer festival fun fair is coming to Earls Court

Like many things during the pandemic, Underbelly has had to adapt. This summer, the city’s favourite giant purple cow has sailed across the city from Southbank’s riverside to its exciting new home in Earl’s Court’s London Wonderground.

And Underbelly has really upped its game. This year’s line-up at the fairground boasts the likes of Al Murray and Radio 4’s Lucy Porter, an array of Circus acts (Circus Abyssinia being one to watch), and some tremendous improv like Criminal for a murder mystery and Austentatious for a Georgian era twist.

FOR FUN

This latest installment offers more than just the stellar line up. Its setting comes with an abundance of fairground, food, and drink delights. Daredevils can get their thrill on with the Swing Tower and Waltzer before a Pimms stop, while kids are spoilt for choice with the fairground classics and some very uniquely themed dodgems.

And for a break from the excitement, you can make your way to the heart of London Wonderground and claim a deckchair at its sandy beach to enjoy a well-deserved bite to eat.

THE FOOD

Our food trophy goes to HERD Steak Sandwiches, with their seriously impressive Classic (their veggie halloumi coming close second). We definitely recommend the rosemary and sea salt fries – you’ll thank us later.

IN A NUTSHELL

As a whole, our favourite capsized purple inflatable does it again. Whether you’re looking for a Nursery Rhyme Time or more of a Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho kind of time, it has you covered. Some call it a highlight of London’s comedy scene. Some call Udderbelly a stain on the riverside façade of this great city. I call it a humorous spark of genius, with just the right level of shock and joy factors to keep the haters talking, and the patrons coming back for more.

And with the new setup and line-up that rivals its best, the talking has been drowned out with cheers of delight and roaring laughter from the tents that last well into the night and beyond.

Check it all out here, and let us know what you think. Have fun!
