Beauty Playground Sephora Returns to the UK (finally!)

Christmas really has come early for UK beauty fans. Granting the 17-year wish of adoring shoppers nationwide, Sephora has finally made its momentous comeback (along with its hundreds of highly sought-after brands) – and it’s already looking to be every ounce as immense as the hype surrounding it.

After a rumour-fuelling acquisition of FeelUnique last year, sephora.co.uk went live this week, making Sephora’s iconic black and white stripes a permanent fixture on many a screen (including ours). It lands 17 years after the French-owned brand’s heartbreaking departure from the UK, leaving behind devastated beauty fans, and a gigantic hole in the market in the cosmetics e-commerce landscape.

The launch paves way for a new era of UK beauty discovery. There’s hundreds of brands at your fingertips, from mainstream to cult, from luxury to accessible. There’s Fenty. Glow Recipe. Rare Beauty. Elemis. Gisou. And along with the eponymous Sephora Collection, Sephora will offer exciting exclusives like Tarte Cosmetics, Makeup By Mario, Skinfix, Ilia Beauty, GXVE – we could go on.

If that wasn’t all, the festive period will see a legendary Sephora advent calendar filled with £711 worth of products, retailing at just £139. It will feature skincare from Augustinus Bader, Elemis and The Ordinary, makeup from Huda Beauty, Nars and KVD Beauty, and scent from Mugler, Neom and Floral Street. It really is a no-brainer.

If there was ever any doubt, Sephora does it bigger and better than the rest. The star-studded launch event saw an entire takeover of swanky London venue One Marylebone, saturated with stalls from our favourite brands, DJ sets, and an abundance bubbles – along with an entire Sephora trunk of hot product favourites to take away.

Paradise? You bet. Let the indulgence begin.

You can browse and shop to your heart’s content online at sephora.co.uk immediately – and stay tuned closer to Spring 2023 for more on physical store openings coming your way!
