Excitement Builds as Salon Privé Returns to London

The famous Salon Privé London is back this year for its second edition, on the pristine lawns of Royal Hospital Chelsea. 75 of the world’s most iconic and finest classic collector cars will be on display – and in complete contrast to other concours events, every one of them will be for sale!

The Salon Privé London Concours de Vente is a central highlight of the show and, in a break from tradition, is designed solely for dealers to showcase cars that can actually be bought, rather than the private and firmly not for sale cars that feature at Salon Privé Blenheim. Expect show-stoppers, including British and Italian classic car icons, such as a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C, a 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Vignale, a 1970 Porsche 914/6 GT and a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda, a headline-grabbing 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400.

Entries are split into the following ‘classes’, as denoted by their value: Class 1 is up to £250,000, Class 2 is between £250,000 and £1 million, and Class 3 is for cars over £1 million. At the end of the event, Salon Privé London awards the Best in Class and the ultimate prize of Prix d’Honneur for the best car at the show. Royal Hospital Chelsea also presents the Chelsea Pensioners’ Choice Award.

The cars are also driven each day in a parade that allows guests to fully appreciate them in all their glory and then consider purchasing them.

Luxury brand Genesis will showcase its all-electric GV60, the firm’s first crossover SUV EV, most recently being named What Car? Best Electric SUV 2023.

Stars of the show include the stunning Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato which will make UK public debut at Salon Privé London, the sensational ‘Fangio’ Jaguar XJR-15 plus an exclusive ‘holy trinity’ of three cars with more than 1,000bhp: the fully electric Rimac Nevera (1,914bhp), the hybrid Delage D12 blends a V12 engine with an electric motor for a combined 1,100bhp), and the ICE-powered Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster’s (6.6-litre twin-turbo ‘Fury’ V8 - 1,817bhp).

With a relaxing atmosphere and beautifully appointed pavilion, guests can drop in and out throughout the day and enjoy chilled Pommery Champagne or a London Essence cocktail while the automotive action unfolds on the lawns of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The Luxe package offers a more relaxed and family-friendly buffet lunch for Saturday visitors.

Further highlights include Friday’s Boodles Ladies’ Day, fun for all the family during Saturday at Salon Privé, plus exclusive VIP hospitality at The Sloane and DJs keeping the party going well into the evening on Thursday and Friday.

The event will be held on 20th, 21st, and 22nd April at Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3 4SR - you can purchase tickets for these unmissable days here.
